Privacy Policy
How Haikai handles the personal data of people who visit the site and talk to us.
Last updated October 14, 2026
Who we are
Haikai Estratégia e Treinamento LTDA ("Haikai") is responsible for processing the personal data collected on this site, under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, the LGPD).
For any matter about personal data, write to contato@haikai.pro.
What data we collect
We collect only what is needed for each purpose, in three situations:
- Data you send us: name, email, organization (optional), subject and message, when you use the contact form; and the information you include when writing to us by email or WhatsApp, or when joining the AIBP Training waitlist.
- Technical browsing data: such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, which reach the servers and third-party services used to deliver the site.
- Preferences saved in your browser: your cookie choice and whether you minimized the newsletter bar.
What we use data for
- Replying to messages and contact requests, including press, talks, events and services (steps prior to a contract and legitimate interest).
- Notifying people about the opening of AIBP Training classes, for those who joined the waitlist (consent).
- Keeping the site secure, working and better with each version (legitimate interest).
- Meeting legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce relevant effects on you.
Cookies and browser storage
When you enter the site, we ask how you prefer to handle cookies. You can change that choice at any time under "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
- Necessary: they store your cookie choice and the newsletter bar preference. Without them the site loses basic features, so they do not depend on consent.
- Optional (audience measurement): they are only activated if you accept. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives usage data, such as pages visited and clicks. We do not use advertising cookies.
Third-party services
Some features of the site depend on external services, which may receive technical data such as your IP when the page loads:
- Google Fonts: delivery of the site's text fonts.
- Google Analytics: audience measurement, only if you accept optional cookies. The data is processed by Google, which may store it outside Brazil.
- Substack: the "Não é sobre tecnologia" newsletter bar reads the public feed to show recent titles, and subscribing happens on Substack itself, under its own policy.
- WhatsApp, Instagram and LinkedIn: when you click those links, you leave the site and the rules of each platform apply.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with providers that run the site, email and support tools on our behalf, under a duty of confidentiality, and with authorities when the law requires.
How long we keep data
We keep data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above and legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize it. You can also ask for deletion sooner, as explained next.
Your rights
Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you can request, at any time:
- Confirmation that we process your data, and access to it.
- Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
- Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in violation of the law.
- Data portability, where applicable.
- Information about who we share your data with.
- Withdrawal of consent and deletion of data processed on that basis.
- Objection to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contato@haikai.pro. You can also turn to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Security
We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss and misuse. No system is completely immune to failure, which is why we also ask for care when sharing sensitive information in messages.
Children and teenagers
Haikai's site and services are aimed at professionals and organizations. We do not knowingly collect data from children and teenagers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or the law. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date of the latest update at the top.
